About Massana
Massana Massage Therapy & Bodywork is owned and operated by Norma Basko, a licensed, nationally certified massage therapist (NCBTMB) and a Professional Member of the American Massage Therapy Association.
Norma is originally from Pittsburgh and has been a practicing massage therapist and certified yoga instructor since 2006. She is a graduate of the Academy of Massage Therapy in Hackensack, New Jersey and has completed over 3000 hours of massage therapy training, including classes at The Swedish Institute in New York, NY and The New Mexico Academy of Healing Arts. Her skills include massage for relaxation, pain relief, deep tissue massage, therapeutic and medical massage, sports, hot stone, and prenatal massage therapies. She specializes in blending these techniques and others to create customized massage experiences to individually meet the needs of her clients.
Norma also holds Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry and is a licensed esthetician.
Massana Massage Therapy and Bodywork's name comes from a blending of the word "massage" and the word "asana" (yoga pose) from yoga, the two roots of her services.
Massana Massage Therapy & Bodywork is located in the Mt. Lebanon/Upper St. Clair/Bethel Park communities of the South Hills of Pittsburgh at 1738 N. Highland Rd. The studio is just off Route 19/Washington Rd. in the South Hills Village area, where the communities of Upper St. Clair, Mt. Lebanon, and Bethel Park meet, just 8 miles from downtown Pittsburgh.
Please use the map and to get door-to-door directions to the studio. The building is the 3rd on the right proceeding from Rt. 19/Washington Rd. onto N. Highland Rd.
Upon arriving, pull into the driveway to the left of the building. Drive down the driveway and into the parking area at the bottom and park in one of the spaces reserved for Massana Massage Therapy. The door into the building from this area will lead directly inside to the studio.
There is also additional parking across the street in the Faith Lutheran Church parking lot.
